Account Manager- Los Angeles, CA or Seattle, WA

Revenue growth within the Western Region territory through the ongoing strategic development of new accounts/markets and expansion within the existing customer portfolio. The Account Manager’s sales responsibility will include the entire range of the nCode Brand Durability and Fatigue simulation products and services within the assigned territory, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring customers’ needs and expectations are met.  This position will be based in Los Angeles, CA or Seattle, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy for territory-customers and market growth
  • Awareness and pursuit of opportunities for account growth and new business
  • Lead generation through marketing events, cold calling, etc.
  • Work with Marketing to produce, events, mailings, target marketing, etc.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in customer/prospect accounts
  • Develop calling and selling strategies for opportunities
  • Plan and execute customer visits
  • Coordinate involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources to meet  objectives and customer/prospect expectations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or Computer Science degree + industry experience) 
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the sales of engineering software systems to end-users 
  • Proven ability to achieve assigned sales quotas 
  • Highly developed and diversified communication skills and techniques 
  • Knowledge/exposure of fatigue and durability solutions, data acquisition and/or finite element analysis preferred
  • A demonstrable track record in engineering software sales an advantage 
  • Understanding of customer’s engineering processes and corresponding software applications

Software Integration Engineer - Southfield, MI

The Software Integration Engineer will be responsible for proactively supporting the nCode enterprise-based software products and projects, including but not limited to, the installation, support, and testing of nCode web-based data management & analysis systems.  The position is based out of our Southfield, MI office.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install and manage deployment of nCode Automation software in customers’ environment
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of relational databases such as Oracle/MySQL, including configuration, tuning and SQL performance
  • Provide technical support to nCode users, investigating requirements and proposing solutions
  • Support configuration of highly scalable performance-driven systems
  • Liaise and build relationships with customers and provide a link back to the product team for future software enhancements
  • Mentor users on best practices when using nCode software
  • Test nCode software releases for functionality and quality
  • Configure and manage replica customer systems on virtual machines
  • Travel to customer sites throughout North America as necessary
  • Help develop and maintain product documentation. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • 4 year degree in engineering, information technology, or computer science
  • Knowledge and experience of the implementation and support of J2EE-based enterprise environments
  • Experience in J2EE application server administration and configuration including Websphere and JBoss
  • Relational database experience, preferably Oracle and MySQL, from an administration and user (SQL queries, etc.) perspective
  • Programming experience in Java, Python or similar is desirable
  • Experience in general Windows administration
  • Experience in Linux is desirable
  • Ability to listen to customers and understand their technical requirements
  • Good presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Interest in working in a commercial environment
  • An interest in mechanical engineering is advantageous
