Model Fatigue of Engineered Polymers with DesignLife
nCode DesignLife is an industry-standard software package for fatigue life prediction of engineering components and structures. It now has a Python-based customization capability which allows organizations to rapidly deploy new or proprietary fatigue analysis methods.
The majority of metal fatigue life predictions reasonably make the assumption that material properties are homogeneous and isotropic. These assumptions are quite inappropriate for predicting the life of fiber reinforced plastics, the fatigue strength of which is strongly dependent on fibre orientation and density.
During this webinar we will demonstrate the Python-based customization capability in nCode DesignLife, implementing as an example a method for predicting the life of components made from engineered polymers (plastic matrix with short fibers).
