HUMS Data Analysis and Management

Health Usage and Monitoring Systems (HUMS) are increasingly being deployed on military ground vehicles. Understanding vehicle usage and the operational condition of the vehicle helps to balance fleet usage and target on condition maintenance. Structural Design and CAE Fatigue Analysis

The CAE fatigue software, nCode DesignLife, is used in the design of trucks, tanks, ships and aircraft. Easy integration with NASTRAN, ANSYS, HYPERMESH and ABAQUS FEA output files delivers rapid durability analysis of alternate designs. Integration of real test or operational input loads allows the component/subsystem design life to be optimized, helping to reduce weight whilst ensuring mission readiness.


Accelerated Testing and Prognostics

GAM EG13 approaches are also used in nCode’s accelerated testing and mission synthesis solutions – helping engineers design rapid tests that are representative of operational conditions or to compare different testing standards, saving potentially months worth of re-tests. HBM-nCode products also offers specialist material testing services, supporting defense primes, focusing on both fatigue and vibration testing.


Test and Operational Data Analysis and Management

Military vehicle tests generate large volumes of data, all of which needs to be processed and managed. nCode GlyphWorks cleans data and extracts critical information automated fashion. HBM-nCode products works with MilCAN data, as well as other commercial CAN standards.

Fatigue Failure Investigation

Military systems are often designed with long life-cycles, in an ever-changing mission environment. Typically, this means new environments and loading conditions resulting in a potential for new failure modes.
