Engineering Intern - Summer Placement - Catcliffe, UK

The Engineering Quality Intern is a 3 month role, commencing in the summer 2015. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Learning how to use and apply HBM-nCode’s software to various engineering applications
  • Liaising with engineers and developers to further understanding of engineering concepts
  • Creating technical documentation for users of the engineering software

Required Qualifications:

  • Be studying for a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Control and Systems Engineering
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • High standard of written work
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and understand
  • Initiative to work and learn independently

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Knowledge of signal processing in engineering applications
  • Interest in engineering software

Engineering Quality Intern - Catcliffe, UK

The Engineering Quality Intern is a 12 month role, commencing in the summer/autumn 2015. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Working with the product manager and/or customers to help define and understand specification requirements.
  • Creating engineering test and validation cases to verify algorithms and general functionality 
  • Writing and reviewing documentation 
  • Developing prototype code in Python
  • Working within an Agile software development environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Be studying for or have achieved a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Control Systems), Maths or Physics or a related degree.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness
  • Basic programming knowledge, ideally Python

Materials Testing Engineer Intern - Catcliffe, UK

The Materials Testing Engineer Intern is a 12 month role, commencing in the summer/autumn 2015. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Fatigue Testing of Specimens
  • Monitoring of Tests
  • Aiding with research projects
  • Manufacturing Test Specimens
  • Assisting with Maintenance of Equipment and Machinery
  • Contributing and Participating in Customer Visits

Required Qualifications:

Senior Software Engineer - Catcliffe, UK

The Senior Software Engineer will develop software code which can be assembled to create products and implement projects based on JEE architecture.  Modify and maintain existing product code.

Position Responsibilities:

  • To provide software coding and bug fixing.
  • Creation of documents to support design, specification, and product management activities.
  • Basic software documentation generation.
  • Liaison with other nCode groups, including Support and Sales and required.
  • To make recommendations to resolve technical, strategic and organisational issues.

Required Qualifications:

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Experience administering JBoss and WebSphere application servers

Internal Sales - Roissy en France, France

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and process software maintenance and CDS renewals
  • Lead generation through marketing events and cold calling
  • Qualify and process phone sales queries
  • Provide assistance in account management
  • Assist in Partnership Program customer follow-up activities
  • Qualify and process phone sales queries
  • Ability to describe product overview to customers/prospects
  • Proactive selling of training courses
  • Assist in follow up with existing customers on introduction of new product features
  • Complete customer procurement forms (complete vendor registration forms, delivery and follow up on credit reference forms, etc.)
  • Update and maintain sales database (Salesforce)
  • Work with Marketing on user group conference activities
  • Support of field-based sales team
  • Perform other sales administration duties as required

Position Requirements:

  • 2-3 years’ plus experience in inside sales/lead qualification OR similar role
  • Engineering software industry experience
  • Adept at building relationships and creating an excellent rapport with customers
  • Proven ability to qualify and sell a technical product over the phone
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, CRM System)
  • Strong organizational skills/ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comfortable working proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with attention to detail
  • French and English fluent, Italian appreciate.
