nCode Academic Program

Fatigue analysis is becoming an increasingly important part of the design process in many industries, and today’s graduate engineer needs to be equipped with knowledge of the latest tools used in industry. According to a 2008 study[1], best-in-class companies are 1.6 times more likely to simulate and identify product failure modes than poor performing companies. Stress analysis by itself is often insufficient and products are now commonly designed by predicting failure under realistic loading.

Since 1982, nCode products have led the way with fatigue analysis capabilities in industries such as aerospace, automotive, defense, off-highway, rail transport and wind energy. nCode products are used by many Fortune 500 companies including Ford Motor Company, General Motors, John Deere, and Lockheed Martin. In fact, companies such as CNH, Chrysler Group LLC, John Deere and Wyle are actively searching for engineers with experience using nCode software.
