The eDAQ-lite is the newest addition to the line of data acquisition systems from nCode International, SoMat Products Division. With the ability to fit in the palms of your hands, it is ideal for applications where compactness and/or ruggedness are important and a limited channel count is all that is needed.
In the simplest terms, the eDAQ-lite is really just a subset of the eDAQ. We have taken advantage of the proven technology in the eDAQ and compressed it into a smaller case with fewer channels. The eDAQ-lite uses the CPU-Plus processor as its base, and its conditioning layers are based on current eDAQ conditioning layers. The architecture allows you to easily add and remove layers with the removal of only four corner screws.
We have had many customers approach us over the years saying that the 2100 was perfect in size, but they really wanted the capabilities that the eDAQ offers. The perfect solution was to develop a system that is a bit smaller then the eDAQ, but still functions like an eDAQ. Result: the eDAQ-lite!
What's available now? A Battery Layer (ELBAT) can provide stand alone power application for an eDAQ-lite system for over 10 hours, depending on its configurations. It attaches through four screws to the base plate of an eDAQ-lite, and can be charged with the eDAQ D-sub power connector when connected to the eDAQ-lite.
A Bridge Board (ELBRG) measures independent signals from analog and strain inputs. It is available in 350 ohm and 120 ohm options.This board is similar to the eDAQ 8-channel Low-Level Board.
The Digital I/O Board (ELDIO-B) and the Digitial I/O Board with GPS (ELDIO-GPS). This Digital I/O layer is an 8 channel board that can be used for digital or pulse counter inputs and offers 4 additional digital inputs.
The High Level Board (ELHLS) is a 4-channel analog layer comparable to the eDAQ's 16-channel High Level Simultaneous Sampling (HLS) Layer. This layer takes advantage of the ICP Conditioning, Strain Gage, and Thermocouple Smart Modules that can also be used with the eDAQ HLS Layer.
